“For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.” (1 Thessalonians 2:13)
Do you identify with David or Goliath? Do you wonder where the breakthrough is so that you can slay the giants that hold you back? The way to breakthrough and empowerment is by the effectual working power of fervent prayer, and Christ Jesus abiding in and through you ….
Get out your promises and use them as the weapons that they are! Speak them out loud. The demons will tremble! Pray them out. Dream and re-envision them. Recall and remember them. Decree them. Imagine them manifested in your circumstances. See them fulfilled. Stir up faith in your own heart by remembering them. Let them inspire you, move you, and fire you up afresh …..
“We are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us.” (2 Corinthians 5:20)
The calling of God to be a part of His new creation is a call to service. It is not a call to fit-in, but one to be separate, set apart. Reconciling the world back to God is our basic ministry. We are called to be His ambassadors. However, we are not saved to merely rejoice that our sins are forgiven, and then simply sit back scrolling our days away over social media or filling our minds with countless hours of mindless chatter ….
As His ambassadors, we are called to witness. To be teachers, leaders, and role models. Examples of light and righteousness to a lost and dying world. And as His servants, when we share the Good News, we are not just trying to “fill the pews” and pile more people into church — but to equip new believers to be effective in advancing God’s Kingdom on earth. We are to be teaching spiritual principals, and guiding those seekers of truth towards the light ….
Our ultimate goal is to offer Him an inheritance of children and give people a place in a divinely appointed family. Once we taste of His love, we will consistently release it to bring change to those around us until the earth begins to look like Heaven. This is exactly what Jesus did. This is exactly what we should be doing. Loving thy neighbor ….
“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1)
We have to take the first step. Immediately when we arise, we find He is there. And if we arise and shine, then drudgery becomes divinely transfigured. And how do we shine? By devoting ourself to prayer and time with God the very first thing in the mornings, that when we rise from His presence, we will be basking in such an afterglow, that He will undoubtedly shed His light to anyone within the sound of our voice. He will be glorified through us ….
It is absolutely necessary for us to keep our eyes on the intentional PURPOSE of God for us being on this planet. Every day is an occasion to affect the atmosphere of where we are. Don’t allow the enemy to weary you, causing you to lose focus and bring you into an oppressive state of mind. Jesus gave His life so that we, first of all, would find freedom and then be able to be the conduits of His glory in the earth ….
Prayer & Affirmation ~
I ask and humbly pray the Holy Ghost to give me wisdom and courage to step out and begin to fulfill the destiny He has birthed so deeply inside me. My heart releases the compassion of Jesus Christ to help deliver people caught in the deception of sin and darkness and set them free. Since I want Christ to “shine” upon me, I arise from the distractions that entomb me in lethargy and spiritual darkness this day. I will not surrender my will for His and seek to reach out to the lost, the outcasts, the deplorable and demoralized that no one wants to invite into their churches. I will now committ to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and be a witness unto everyone of the redemptive saving power of Jesus and the transforming power of the Holy Ghost. I have decided to follow Jesus …. No turning back …. No turning back ….
