We are human and because of that we often let our flesh get in the way and we become our own worse enemy…
We open ourselves up to unwelcome attacks and then wander around blindly wondering why we are being attacked. If this has been your situation and you need your blinders removed — it’s as easy to do as taking off a pair of dime-store sunglasses that did not strike your fancy!
Most often the reason why we are attacked is because we got a little fleshy for a moment and that gave the devil an open door and an invitation to rain on our parade. Its then that we need to step back, take a look through spiritual eyes and ask ourselves “Is there anything in me that is not lining up with Gods word?”
The presence of the Lord will not dwell where there is sin and when we are in our flesh we take ourselves out from under His protection and out of His will…
Its at this time we need to pray that the Father remove anything in us that is not of Him and strive to empty ourselves of us so we can be filled with more of Him …
If you are doing something and your spirit makes you conscious of that fact, even to the point that you are unsure whether or not it is a sin — that’s a good indication that the Holy Spirit is trying to convict you of doing it again. If that is happening, put (1 Thessalonians 5:22) in play as a personal rule to keep you grounded in Gods Word ..
(1 Thessalonians 5:22)
“Abstain from all appearance of evil.”
If it looks evil or if you have to ponder about it to decide, just do yourself a favor and stay away from it. Don’t do it. If you think long — you think wrong ….
Put on the FULL ARMOR OF GOD to protect yourself from attacks of the enemy, but remember to not be too hard on yourself if you tend to get overwhelmed at times. We all stumble and fall short of the glory of God at times, but His grace is sufficient for every time of need!
