Let’s face it. Life can be tough. And sometimes it feels like trusting God in the face of difficult circumstances is impossible. But no matter where you are or what tough time you are facing right now, God wants to help you and see you through!
It’s no surprise to me that followers of Jesus are facing lots of trouble right now. The Lord has told us, “In the last days difficult times will come” (2 Timothy 3:1). But you and I can get through the tough times if we have strong faith. And God delights in proving Himself that our faith may be increased …
I’m sure that like me, you desire to walk victoriously over the worst of circumstances. But how do we achieve that when our faith seems weak and wilted? Here’s the secret: When you pair up your problems with God’s power, nothing is impossible! And what He has done for me, He can and will do for you as well ….
Throughout the Bible, we read stories of people who faced impossible difficulties, like Moses at the edge of the Red Sea, or Daniel in the den of hungry lions. Without question, humanly speaking those situations were impossible. But here is something very important to learn: our words and attitude will determine our outcome. When the impossible meets God, we need to change our thinking and say, “I’M POSSIBLE with God!”
As the Scripture says in (Ephesians 3:20-21), “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
Did you catch that? God is able to do far beyond what you and I can ask or think. So think big and ask big, and see Him do even more! He is absolutely BIGGER than any circumstances we will ever have to face …
Are you facing an impossible situation today? Maybe it’s in your marriage, or your family, or perhaps your finances or physical health. Whatever your impossibility may be, take it and introduce it to the God who specializes in impossible situations. As Jesus said in (Mark 10:27), “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”
So remember, instead of looking at the impossible in front of you, trust that God is good – He cares for you and has a wonderful plan in your difficult situation. Keep reading God’s Word and be obedient to what He tells you to do. And when you step out in faith, believe that He will provide exactly what you need in that very moment …..
It IS possible to have strong faith in tough times! So let your “impossible” meet God … and watch what He will do in response.
Let’s pray ~
Heavenlt Father, what a priviledge and joy it is to have the freedom in Christ to draw near to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy to find help in our time of need. What a beautiful reassurance to know and rest in Your promise that You are always listening when we pray. Father, as the days grow darker and the wickedness of the world seems to be filling to the brim with evil, hypocrisy, and hatred; we realize that there is an even more increasing need to be travailing in prayer and seeking to draw close to You to be protected under the shadow of Your wings. Father, at times as we live in this physical, tangible and visible world, our troubles can rob us of our hope and we may find it difficult to remember that there’s a spiritual, intangible, invisible realm where the forces of evil are plotting temptations and tests for the saints of God. Increase our awareness and understanding of the spiritual sphere and equip us we pray in Christ to stand strong in the forces of evil, fully furnished with the spiritual armor of God, which alone is able to guard and protect us from the enemy’s vicious and prolonged attacks. Grant us discernment to see into the heavenly places and recognize our enemies before the attacks come. Fill us, and renew us with Your Spirit that by the power of the Holy Ghost we may be fully able and equipped for battle. We thank You that Your plans and purpose for each of us is perfect and can never fail, and may we never forget that greater is He that is in us than he who is in the world. Thank You Father. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen …..
