5-Minute Morsels~

time-daily

“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
(Ephesians 5:16)

Have you ever experienced the regret of wasted time? The problem is that we can’t get wasted time back. Yet God has called us to redeem the time, not waste it. How do we R-E-D-E-E-M the time? Let’s see …..

R – Remember that tomorrow isn’t promised to us ~
“Go to now, ye that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”
(James 4:13-15).
Knowing that we may only have today, we need to take advantage of the opportunities that God gives us. One day we will give an account for how we lived our lives with the gifts that God gave us …..

E – Expect that God may have a plan different from ours ~
“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.”
(Proverbs 16:9).
We can start every day with a prayer of surrender to God’s will. This will help us navigate the changes we didn’t expect in our day …..

D – Determine to make the most of the day given to us each day ~
“Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.”
(Psalm 84:5).
Every day is a chance for us to live a productive and thankful life to God. We can resolve in our minds to accomplish His will regardless of the obstacles that may come our way …..

E – Engage in opportunities to be a blessing to others ~
“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
(Galatians 6:10).
God gives us multiple opportunities to be a blessing in our words and actions to our family, friends, co-workers, and even strangers. We may even sometimes bless angels without even knowing it … (Hebrews 13:2).

E – Enjoy the beautiful moments of our lives with those we love ~
“Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.”
(Ecclesiastes 5:18).
When God calls us home to spend eternity with Him, our loved ones will feel the loss most intensely. We are more blessed if we can make it a priority to show them love while we have the chance ….

M – Make an effort to live in peace with others ~
“Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.”
(2 Corinthians 13:11).
In this world of sin, there’s always strife and drama in some place in the world. As much as it is up to us, we can strive to live in peace with those God has placed in our vicinity ….. Let go of every entanglement that is weighing you down, and use every precious moment that God has given you, and do the best that you can to redeem the time to honor Him …..

Let us pray ~

Dear Lord, forgive me for the times I’ve wasted my time instead of redeeming it. Give me wisdom to number my days. Amen

God is with us …..

I am Your kindling my Lord ... lay me across Your alter; that Your fire may consume me and burn so brightly that all who see me may see YOU!!! And thereby You will be glorified .... May You be glorified in everything I say, do, or post ....
