Complacency ~

We do not like to admit we have been complacent about periods of our lives. Often times we expect something to change or move forward in our lives, but we have done nothing pro-active to instigate that change. We become complacent in our day to day routine. We are creatures of habit; and we accept the comfort of what we have become used to. However, we all face times in our lives where we want something different to happen or we desire to achieve a goal in life. Often times these goals are not met because we accept the comfort of our ‘normal’ instead of the challenge of the unknown ……

God loves to give us the desires of our heart; as long as they are glorifying His Kingdom. Our desires must align with His will, and we need be seeking that will first, as the scripture reads: “delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” (Psalm 37:4). “Delight thyself” is an action step. He expects us to seek Him with all our heart … and then ask Him to help us strive for our desires … our goals. If there is an honest effort to trust in God; He will provide a way and open up the doors for your goals to be met.

We must be willing to act and make the effort necessary to press through the unknown ….
Jesus is our source and our help. Jesus understands your hesitations and will carry you through the doubts and the fears. Trust in Jesus and allow your faith to be built up through prayer and the Word of God. Take a step in a new direction … and experience the blessings that we are promised … when we allow God to fulfill the desires of our heart …

May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests.
PSALM 20:4-5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path. PROVERBS 3:5-6

God is with us ……
