How do you handle adversity? What do you do when you are faced with difficulty? How do you react when something major happens in your life? Pain, suffering, trials and grief are all components of the human life … .
We all go through these realities at some point. When we face things that seem impossible, we must be prepared. You may be wondering how you can prepare for some of the unimaginable things that happen to us; simple:
Faith …. Prayer …. God’s Word ….
We cannot expect to be equipped to handle life if we don’t make the effort to prepare ourselves properly. We must study and meditate upon the Word of God. Studying God’s Word gives us knowledge, wisdom and understanding.
Prayer is our continuous communication and relationship with our Heavenly Father ….
Faith is trust in action …. Faith means that we know and believe that God is with us ~ regardless of the circumstances. Faith means firmly believing and trusting in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Through this knowledge, belief and trust … we develop a heartfelt personal devotion and attachment to Jesus … An intimacy that we express through our actions. We begin to develop patience, peace, love, gratitude and hope … because we are grounded on the solid rock of Jesus.
As you face this day, begin preparing for the days to come. Strive to commit to building up your faith muscles. Your preparedness will give you the strength to face life, and help others along the way of their own journey.
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” (HEBREWS 10:23)
“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.” (1 PETER 1:6-7)
God is with us …..
